About Accton Technology Corporation

Accton is a leading network ODM company, with over 25 years experience designing and
manufacturing network products for OEM, enterprise, service provider and data center
customers. Accton designs a full portfolio of switches for deployment in the top-of-rack or to
form a high performance spine network that interconnects racks in data centers scaling to tens
of thousands of servers. The data center switches are available with 1 Gb Ethernet, 10 Gb
Ethernet and 40 GbE ports, and support a choice of switchOS and SDN software for private and
public cloud infrastructures. The data center switches are marketed through Edge-Core
Networks, Acctons go-to-market subsidiary. For more information on Edge-Core data center
switches see

Open Rack Switch Adapter

The Open Rack Switch Adapter is a mechanical option that mates with any 1U-high, 19-wide
network switch and slides into an Open Rack. The ORSA allows any standard 19 switch to be
installed in an Open Rack, and, if the switch has a 12VDC power input option, to draw power
from the racks 12V DC bus bar. Accton has contributed the design of the Open Rack Switch
Adapter to the Open Compute Project, ensuring that the adapter is fully certified with OCP
infrastructure solutions. Edge-Cores data center switches are available with optional 12V DC
power input modules, to allow them to be installed in Open Racks with the Open Rack Switch
Adapter and draw 12VDC power from the rack bus bar.
